About Library
VDDHH has a lending library of resource and other materials relating to deafness, hearing loss, sign language, interpreter training, technology, education, and many more topics. There are books, workbooks, videotapes and DVD’s, journals and periodicals, and games. The Children’s Collection has books, games, videotapes, and DVDs for hours of entertainment. The library is available to anyone who is a resident of Virginia. It is a great resource for consumers, parents, other family members, students in interpreter training programs and others interested in a broad range of information. There is no cost to borrow materials, although the borrower is responsible for return postage. Books may be checked out for up to four weeks. Most videotapes and DVD’s may be checked out for two weeks.
You do not need to come to Richmond to use the VDDHH Library. You can call, e-mail or fax your materials request from anywhere in the state. Of course, if you are in Richmond, you are encouraged to visit during office hours (8:15a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) and browse through the library.
To use the library, you must be a registered Patron, with a current registration form on file. To register, click on the link below, print, complete, and mail or fax the form to:
